26th January 2002... Shipley to Ilkley 
 
  The heavy overnight rain had stopped as about fourty of us started off from the side of the canal at Saltaire.

   
 
We climbed up to the top of Shipley Glen following the line of the old tramway. It was soon time stop and check the weather gear. 
 
 As we reached the head of Shipley Glen the rain started again and continued as we aimed for Dick Hudson's and Ilkley Moor beyond.
 
 

Rain, cars, spray, more rain, more cars
why do we do it?

 
  A lunch break at Dick Hudson's and then up towards Ilkley moor with quite a bit of boggy work to do before we reach the Twelve Apostles Stones at the top of the moor.
