| As ten o'clock approached, members on the Bradford CHA appeared from all corners of Centenary Square. Photographers from the press recorded the moment whilst the Lord Mayor listened to the club's outline plan for the walk. | ![]() |

| A strange sight for Bradford as 57 well equipped "Rambling sorts" headed north toward a thin strip of green that goes along Canal Road to Bolton Woods, Wrose, Windhill and Shipley. | ![]() |

| The high land around Bolton
Wood Quarries gave fine views back over the city of Bradford with Lister's Mill
in the far distance. As Shipley was reached it was time to descend to the side of the Leeds an Liverpool Canal, where the towpath was then followed to Salts Mill at Saltaire. |
