Please note:-Walks (or rambles) usually take place on
Saturdays and Sundays and the details relating to walks include transport
information, the degree of difficulty and the name of the leaders of the walks.
Social events are mostly on Wednesday evenings, but are not as frequent as the
walks.
Club evenings are held at 7.45 pm in the Yorkshire Rider Club, 90
Sunbridge Road, Bradford.
Walk categories The details above include various codes used
to indicate the nature of the walk or ramble, these are a rough guide and
depend partly on the area, terrain, amount of ascent and time of year.
Saturday Walks are usually = 7-10 miles,
A walks are usually = 13-17 miles,
B walks usually = 9-13 miles.
C walks are easier, or involve places of specific interest and
are often suggestions rather than formally 'led' walks
....
B walks are supposed to be easier than their corresponding
A walks.
In some cases the codes (L) or (C) are used, these
indicate linear or circular, respectively.
Ramblers... Please note the
followingimportant points:-
Do not bring dogs on club rambles.
Please follow the Country Code, and take sensible mountain and road
safety precautions.
Please bring a torch on winter rambles.
On Sunday rambles bring enough food for lunch and tea.
If you find yourself separated from the main party and unable to get
to the coach departure point for return, please notify the local police as soon
as possible of your position.
If you join one of the official parties, please stay with the
leader.
If you are not with an official party please leave your (written)
itinerary with the 'A' leader.
When used, public transport leaves from Nelson Street next to
Bradford Interchange unless otherwise stated. Some Saturday rambles and
most Sunday rambles use a hired coach. please
note:-Smoking is not allowed on the club coach.

Hire coach pick-up points
The coach leaves Nelson St, at the time indicated in the event
details above. The number after the time shows which route will be
taken out of Bradford. Keighley departures (routes 2 to 5) pick up on
the reverse of route 1, going into Bradford from Keighley Bus Station (Express
Stand).
The coach will pick up at the following
points:

Route 1: via Manningham Lane (A650). Oak Lane; Emm Lane; The
Branch (opp Cinema); Saltaire Roundabout; Cottingley Bar; Bingley Centre;
Crossflatts; Keighley Bypass (garage); Steeton (bypass); Skipton (Main Street)
Not Skipton on Saturdays.
Route 2: via Shipley. Oak Lane; Emm Lane; The Branch (Otley
Rd); Shipley Market Place; White Cross.
Route 3: via Manchester Road. Mayo Avenue; Slip road just
before Odsal top
Route 4: via Otley Rd; Greengates; Pool.
Route 5: via Leeds Road. Laisterdyke; Thornbury Barracks;
Stanningley bypass; and by prior arrangement: front of old Vicar Lane Bus
Station.

Please note:-
Reduced fares are applicable for people in full-time education up to
the age of 18 inclusive.
Members have priority over non-members if the coach is full.
We aim to get back in time for last buses from Bradford, but there
may be delays which are outside our control
The coach only goes to and from Bradford Interchange via routes 1-5
as indicated and no diversions or extensions can be made.
