What's going on at the FULNECK DRAMA SOCIETY

Following the hugely popular STEEL MAGNOLIAS and DEALERS CHOICE Fulneck Drama Society have elected to do something just for fun.

Austin Steele’s FRIENDS & NEIGHBOURS is the Society’s choice for the Spring 2003 production at the Comenius Centre. Written and set in the early sixties, at the height of the Cold War, the play follows the hilarious antics of an ‘ordinary’ Leeds family who entertain a Russian cultural delegation for a week.

“FRIENDS & NEIGHBOURS,” Christine Robbins reliably informs us, “is a classic Northern comedy played for one reason, and one reason only – laughter. Well worth pulling off the shelf, dusting down and replaying to a modern audience.”

We say great, Chris. If the play reaches the high quality and standards set by previous FDS productions we can all look forward an evening of laughter, tears and tearful laughter.

Performances of FRIENDS &NEIGHBOURS take place on the following nights:

Tuesday April 8th,
Thursday April 10th,
Friday April 11th
Saturday April 12th.

Curtain up at 7.30pm.

Additional bookings for non-patrons’ tickets are £5, and £4 for concessions. (Please note there is no Wednesday performance.)
