September 11th.... a moment of silence at Asda Pudsey

We gathered together today at Asda Pudsey for a ceremony held as a sign of respect those who lost their lives on that tragic day just one year ago.

As 1.46 p.m. approached, it was evident that some of the representatives from Pudsey Fire Station would not be present as planned, they had been called out to an indident...

The group assembled and quietly waited as the minute of silence arrived.
Afterwards a Fire Officer from Pudsey placed a wreath at the foot of the small Maple Tree which Pudsey Fire Station and the British Royal Legion had planted in the grounds of Asda last September.

Members of Asda colleagues also added their flowers to the tribute.

When asked what their feelings were at this time, the local firemen seemed to agree that the wording on the card said it all for them.

They added that, even after the loss of so many fellow firemen in New York, firefighters the world over would still turn out when needed, just as before because that is what firefighters are trained to do.
