Farsley Celtic maintained their eighth spot in the Unibond
League First Division after a 1-1 draw at Rossendale United.
The Celts had a number of chances to take the lead before an own goal
from Challinor just before the half hour mark fired them ahead.
The hosts struck back in the second half with Woods notching a 70th
minute equaliser. It was a game that the Celts could and should have
won but they'll have a chance to make amends next Saturday when the
Seagulls fly in from Colwyn Bay for a league clash at Throstle Nest.
On Tuesday night the Celts booked a spot in the semi-finals of the
west Riding County cup with hard fought 2-1 win over NCE League side
Glasshoughton Welfare. Penalties from Mark Bett and Mick Midwood were
just about enough to see the home side through although the visitors
"just about shaded it" over the 90 minutes' admitted Celts boss Lee
Sinnott.
