A glimpse of the future...?

Members of the Rotary Club of Pudsey may have had a glimpse of the future at Woodhall Hills Golf Club this Thursday.

As traffic pollution gets greater and roads get more congested the future of the car in cities such as Leeds looks threatened. But what is the way forward...

Maybe this is an example.

The electric car called the G-wiz and supplied by Going Green
Ltd of Leeds is beyond novelty and is now seen as a real proposition for low cost, pollution free urban motoring for those of us, nearly all of us, who make so many short trips to school, shops, meetings, golf and the like.

Earlier this year Rotarians in Pudsey carried out a project based on reducing car pollution,

called the Green Travel Plan. And so it seemed a natural follow on  to inspect at close quarters a vehicle that produces almost no pollution and has a fuel cost of around 1p a mile.
