 Its all happening when the Christmas Lights are switched on in Pudsey on the 15th November. There will be  Market Place entertainment commencing at 6.30pm with the on-stage entertainment being compered by Jon Hamond and Liz Green from Radio Leeds. A number of clowns will be around distributing sweets and gifts to children in the audience, so come along early.


The Traditional Parade leaves Queens Park at 7 pm. to arrive at the Market Place at 7.30pm for the great switch-on by a "mystery celebrity"

  • Police motor cycle
  • Parade Marshall and 2387 Pudsey A T C.
  • Band of 1st Pudsey Scouts
  • Carnival Queen and attendants in a Rolls Royce
  • Miss Britannia and Sailor Girls in a Jaguar
  • Three 9 year-old winners of Design-a-Poster Competition
    (Miss Jamie Dixon, Primrose Hill Primary School, Harry Dawson from Pudsey Lowtown Primary, Amy Newton from St Joseph's R C Primary)
  • Pudsey Diamond Majorettes
  • Santa Claus in his Scandinavian sleigh pulled by 6 fancily dressed Leisure Centre volunteers
  • Pudsey Gateway Club in costume
  • Pudsey Lowtown Primary School in costume
  • Bullman and Bullboy from World R L Champions Bradford Bulls
  • A vintage car
  • A Fire Tender from Pudsey Fire Station
